What counts as custom carpentry?
Woodwork made for one room: built-in shelves and bookcases, accent walls in shiplap or paneling, the trim around windows, doors and stairs, and wood floors. It's measured to your walls and built to fit them, not bought in a box to almost fit.
I have a picture of what I want. Is that enough to start?
That's the best start. Send it, a link works too, with a photo of the wall or room it's for and the rough size. Cale can tell you what it takes to build it in your space.
Do you put in new floors or refinish old ones?
Both. Tell Cale what's down now (old hardwood, carpet over wood, vinyl) and what you'd like, and he'll say whether it's a new floor or a sand and refinish.
Can you do a whole bathroom or a basement?
Tick everything on your list in the form. Bathrooms, floors, framing and trim are all work Cale does, so he can look at the whole job instead of one piece of it.
Is my job too small?
"Small jobs. Bigger possibilities." is on his card. A window to trim out, a porch beam to replace, a few repairs on a list: send it over.
How much will it cost?
It comes down to the size, the wood and finish you pick, and what has to come out first. Send what you have in mind with a few photos, and Cale will come back with questions or a price.
